This was supposed to be something else….but I made a mistake. A VERY delicious mistake. In the spirit of Bob Ross, let’s call it a “Happy Accident”. This tastes sooooooo much better than you’d think it would. I promise.

So, its a Mandarin-Passion Fruit ice cream..with a teeny bit of Dark Chocolate drizzle. And bits of hand made candied kumquat. WHAT’S A KUMQUAT, you ask? Picture an orange that’s the size and shape of an olive. The English name “kumquat” comes from a Cantonese word that means “golden orange” or “golden tangerine.” They have a tart bitterness, and when they are sliced thin and candied the skin becomes translucent, soft, and obliging. They’re delicious, and a beautiful compliment to the passion fruit and chocolate, and you should definitely try them.
